We're taking the plunge into the new year and starting a blog. We hope you'll enjoy seeing frequent updates and photos on the horses you all know and so generously support. We'll also keep you posted on current projects and plans for the future.
The Name that Foal Poll is now closed and we have your picks for names: If it's a colt, it will be Nellie's Dream (barn name Dreamer) and if it's a filly, it will be Nellie's Hope (barn name Hope).
It will depend on colt or filly as to who will be the recipient of the keepsake memory box and the exclusive picture of the baby. Stay tuned!
We will start the poll for Apple soon.
Please note that the poll does not seem to work with Mozilla Firefox, but does with Windows Internet Explorer.
One person, one vote! It may be possible to fool the software (it usually is), but the safest thing is to expect to be able to vote only once per colt and once per filly (per mare). We also have a separate contest on birth date. See http://forums.delphiforums.com/alexbrown/messages?msg=22324.1 for details on how to stake your date and time.
Miracle Horse Rescue Inc. is a federally-recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to the preservation and welfare of abused, neglected and unwanted domesticated horses of all types and conditions. Miracle Horse Rescue does not receive Federal or state funding, and relies totally on the generosity of public donations. It is the goal of Miracle Horse Rescue to rehabilitate each horse to the best of its ability, and then to locate placement into a "Forever" home through our adoption program. Miracle Horse Rescue is anti-slaughter, and those horses deemed unadoptable because of varying disabilities will live out the rest of their lives at the Miracle Horse Rescue facility, receiving the care and love they so justly deserve. At the end of their lives, when all treatment has been tried and the decision is made that further attempts are futile, the only option becomes humane euthanasia by a qualified/certified/licensed equine veterinarian.
