Electra was operated on again for her hernia. The first surgery failed because of rejection of materials used. She's been home for Desert Pines Equine Center for a couple of weeks now and is doing very well.

- Miracle Horse Rescue Inc. is a federally-recognized 501(c)3 non-profit organization which is dedicated to the preservation and welfare of abused, neglected and unwanted domesticated horses of all types and conditions. Miracle Horse Rescue does not receive Federal or state funding, and relies totally on the generosity of public donations. It is the goal of Miracle Horse Rescue to rehabilitate each horse to the best of its ability, and then to locate placement into a "Forever" home through our adoption program. Miracle Horse Rescue is anti-slaughter, and those horses deemed unadoptable because of varying disabilities will live out the rest of their lives at the Miracle Horse Rescue facility, receiving the care and love they so justly deserve. At the end of their lives, when all treatment has been tried and the decision is made that further attempts are futile, the only option becomes humane euthanasia by a qualified/certified/licensed equine veterinarian.
