Saturday morning, March 7, 2009

Good Saturday morning,

Had hay delivery this morning, so I had to take care of that.

Dr. Hadland and his family will be here on Monday, the 9th of March between 3 and 4pm, and he and Rob will be working on Destiny. Destiny will be put under all the way so they can work on his foot. The reason for this (being put under) is so that a perfect fit of the shoe can be done. They cannot have him jumping around etc. Following the work, we will then have dinner. Business first.

We have a little graphic running on our blog that indicates the count down days for the ship date of FAITH from ND. We have been informed that the rancher has moved her closer to the barn area and she is receiving good feed. He says she looks good and looks pregnant. Again, this is information that has been provided to us second hand.

Rob and I had a very extensive conversation in regards to Faith last night. We both want to do everything possible for her, to ensure a safe and healthy delivery. We do not want to go through what we did last year. I did not think at the time that the loss of Nellie hit Rob at all, but I was wrong. He actually choked up a bit last night and I noticed him swallowing hard a couple times during this discussion. We want to be prepared for everything. We have to replace our foaling kit as it has long since been deplete. We want to ensure that she wants for nothing. After a couple of days of settling in, we will have Dr. Hadland exam her and give his recommendations as well.

On the lighter side, as the time draws near for her departure I am getting butterflies in the stomach. Very very excited. So w/ that said over this next week, we will be experimenting with Foalcam.com which offers cam, chat AND ALERT. So please bear with us.

Have a great day!!!!

Stephanie
