Baby Steps And Breakthroughs
The cam does not do justice to her size & I can only imagine what she must have looked like when she first arrived at MHR. 8 weeks later & over 300 lbs heavier Faith is in all her pregnant glory & thriving under Stephanie’s care.
We have been Faithfully watching as Stephanie has been earning trust & a bond with OLPP II. I wanted to capture some of the moments up close & personal.
Her eyes so intent on her new friend. Never before has the human touch felt so kind, so nonthreatening.
Never before, in her previous life, has a simple act of kindness built a world of trust.
This is rescue in it’s purest form.
She glistens as she waits for another visit with her new found friend. A horse transformed with love, care & kindness.
While those 2 were bonding the chikum brigade were busy making plans of their own. Every maternity ward has a head nurse. |
Someone must boil the water
getting towels ready & packing the suitcase. All very important tasks taken with serious enthusiasm.
